CSU adopts tobacco-free campus policy

Charleston Southern University becomes a tobacco-free campus Saturday, Aug. 1. Last year, the campus moved to designated outdoor smoking areas.

“The University has been moving in this direction for several years, and initially smoking was not allowed in buildings. Over time members of the Student Government Association and faculty and staff said, why not extend it to include the entire campus,” said Brewer.
