Did you know Charleston County ranks fourth in the state with 416 homeless people or families?

According to the South Carolina Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD),  4,664 men, women and children are considered “homeless” in South Carolina.

Now you have a chance to do something.

On Tuesday, November 17, Charleston Southern University students can help feed the homeless. It’s simple, too. Students with a meal plan through Aramark can swipe their meal card in front of the CSU cafeteria or Edwards Express and donate their lunch to Celebration Station, a North Charleston homeless shelter.

The effort is part of a campuswide service project by CSU and Americorps Campus Compact to create awareness and support for the homeless across the Lowcountry.
